It seems as though this book was listed in Christian fiction and that is a shame because I know those that were expecting a Christian based book were disappointed and thus so many low reviews. I know exactly how they feel because I really don't like it when I wind up with a Christian romance when I was expecting something else. When I do get a Christian romance I usually just skip it and not review it because I don't feel I should give an opinion about a book that I don't like to start with. But that is just me!I read this book back in 2012 and I didn't know how to review books then. going back through the notes I keep when I got to this book I wrote, Great, So I liked it. The sex scenes don't bother me. After all they are a part of life and people do have sex!!! I liked the story and I wanted to add my review to the positive side. I would recommend it.

Love in Bloom Finding Mr Right Book 6 (Audible Audio Edition) Karen Rose Smith Beth A McIntosh Books Reviews
In this traditional sensual romance the reader meets Dr. Paige Conrad, who has come to the small town where she was raised to help the local doctor, who is recovering from a stroke.Clay Reynolds had come back some years ago following an accident that robbed him of his memory of the first 25 years of his life. Of course, circumstances keep tossing them together, even though both have decided that they do not need the complications of a relationship at this point in their lives.
That story set-up us pretty standard stuff for a romance novel, but it was all handled with strong narrative flow and some really good dialogue. One of the elements in the book that I liked most was the characterization of Paige. On some levels she was so strong, but there was also a sweet innocence about her that was endearing. I also enjoyed the plot line that involved the young boy who was recovering from a severe injury and dealing with issues of anger and resentment.
Fair warning to those readers unfamiliar with sensual romance novels. This one has scenes of explicit sex. That will satisfy those readers who like that in a book, others can skip read and stick to the storyline. However, if you like a good, easy read, I suggest you not skip this book.
I was disheartened by the negative reviews I've read about this book and I almost didn't get it. I am very glad that I did get and read the book.
The author was able to focus on each of the characters' personality and emotional turmoil. Paige and Clay both fought hard to keep their feelings within because they don't want to rock the life that they have so far managed to establish. Paige with her inexperience of the worldly emotions as a woman cannot comprehend how to deal with a man who doesn't seem to trust her. It's her nature to care for people who need it but doesn't have the means to have it. However, she was confused knowing that the first person she would like to run to her for help is the same person who wants to run away from her because of his past. The author was able to bring the emotions at how Paige tried hard to penetrate the wall that Clay has built so no one could get close to him and see what he's been through.
It was also admirable of Clay how he made the sacrifice of letting Paige see her future and dreams in her own terms. However painful it was for him, he thought it best for Paige to decide what she really wants and needs without him in the picture, making it unbiased and pure.
I highly recommend this book. It is worth the risk of reading and enjoying the result after than judge it through the negative reviews alone.
I swear I have read Love in Bloom before, even though I just downloaded it last week. The story is so familiar, though the ending is not the same as what I was thinking. It is driving me a bit crazy trying to figure out what the other book was...or if there was another book. It is just odd. So the whole time I was reading this I was thinking have I read this already?? If anyone knows of a similar story please let me know. I still enjoyed this story.
Paige has come to the small town of Langley to take a break from her work in Africa. She was raised her whole life with her parents who did medical work in poor underprivileged places. She has been expected to continue this selfless doctoring and make it her life too. She might not be up to it, but she also doesn't want to let her mom down. She is trying to take some time and figure out what she wants while also helping Doc.
Soon after she gets to town she meets a boy who needs some help recovering from an accident. He can't walk as well as he once could, and Doc suggests he talk to Clay who also had an accident may years ago. He thinks Clay might be able to help put things in perspective for the boy so he can not waste his life away being angry. The only problem? Clay doesn't want anything to do with that. He has kept secret what happened to him and that he cannot and will never remember anything that happened before the accident. He doesn't want anyone to know since he has too many people who didn't accept him in the past. An ex-girlfriend left when she found out, his dad still doesn't accept him, etc. He is not who he once was, but he is still a good person.
Clay and Paige are attracted to each other but Clay is really hesitant to start something. He doesn't want to get hurt again. Paige could be leaving soon to go back to Africa and he doesn't want to get involved just to be left behind. Of course staying away doesn't work since they keep getting thrown together.
I was a little disappointed in the end of the book. Paige's mom comes back and expects Paige to go back to Africa with her. Paige hasn't decided what she wants to do yet, and really I expected more from the mother. More of an issue with Paige potentially not going with her. She just was set up like it would be a big deal, but you never really saw the mother. It was like she was fine with whatever Paige wanted once she made up her mind.
I did like the epilogue though. So cute how Clay and Paige worked everything out. So sweet and they really were perfect for each other.
